EM Blakstad Paus
EM Blakstad Paus is a printmaker and visual artist. As a printmaker she varies between both intaglio and relief techniques in addition to production of Artis’s books. The interest in paper leads to exploration in producing handmade paper from different kind of materials and fibers.
The works often revolve around the theme of communication, identity and belonging. Traces of the hand are repeated as a central element.
At a crossroad in life, Blakstad Paus embarked on a new education. She is educated at Asker Kunstfagskole and Oslo National Academy of Arts and is based in Oslo/Bærum and Stockholm.

EM Blakstad Paus er grafiker og billedkunstner. Som grafiker benyttes både dyptrykk og høytrykksteknikker i tillegg til produksjon av artist’s books. Interressen for papir fører til utforskning i å produsere håndlaget papir av ulike fibermaterialer.
Arbeidene kretser ofte rundt tema kommunikasjon, identitet og tilhørighet hvor spor etter hånden gjentar seg som et sentralt element.
Ved et veiskille i livet gikk Blakstad Paus i gang med en ny utdannelse. Hun er utdannet ved Asker Kunstfagskole og Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo, og er basert i Oslo/Bærum og Stockholm.
